Day 3 10AM Update: China Wins Fourth Weightlifting Gold, Italy and Azerbaijan Win First Judo Medals

Quintavalle and Mammadli win gold

Italy's Giulia Quintavalle won the women's 57kg judo gold at the Beijing Games on Monday, defeating Deborah Gravenstijn of the Netherlands. Elnur Mammadli of Azerbaijan won the men's 73kg gold.

No place like home

China continued its impressive run through the weightlifting events in Beijing as home favorite Zhang Xiangxiang won the men's 62kg title on Day 3 to give the host nation its fourth weightlifting gold.
