Day 3 6:45AM UPDATE: More Gold For China *SPOILER*

It's been awhile since my last update and more medals were awarded on Day 3 of competition as we head into the evening hours.

ON TV...
Tennis featuring Venus Williams is being shown live on MSNBC. Still to come on that network, women's volleyball between China and Poland as well as live women's basketball between Australia and Brazil.

Live action from beach volleyball is currently airing on USA Network, which will show the United States vs. China in women's basketball live.

And on NBC, later at 10AM, swimming preliminaries, beach volleyball and USA vs. China in women's water polo.

Currently Going On/Coming Up...
- Gold Medal Bouts in judo, specifically in the women's 57kg and men's 73kg weight classes.
- Coming up at 7AM, the Men's 62kg weight class takes part in the weightlifting final.

- Men's 10m Synchronized Diving Final (Can be seen in Primetime on NBC)
The Chinese continued to dominate at the Water Cube as Lin Yue and Huo Liang won gold in the Men's 10m Synchronized platform final, finishing with a total of 468.18 points. Germany placed second while Russia settled for the bronze medal. This is China's second straight gold medal in diving here in Beijing after winning gold yesterday in the women's 3m synchronized springboard.

- Women's 56kg Weightlifting Final (Can be seen later on MSNBC)
Chinese weightlifter Chen Yanqing won gold in weightlifting, giving China their third gold medal in the sport. Maria Shainova of Russia was a distant second and North Korea’s O Jong Ae sneaked into third place with her final lift in a close race for the other medals. The Men's 62kg final will be contested at 7AM ET.

- American Wins Bronze in Women's Trap Shooting
Finland's Satu Makela-Nummela won gold in the women's trap final while a four-way tie led to a shootout to determine the bronze medal. American Corey Cogdell hit her target while others didn't to give the United States a rare shooting medal.

- South Korea Wins Team Gold in Archery
After their win in the women's team final yesterday, South Korea celebrated another victory in archery by capturing gold in the men's team final, an event that came down to the final arrows. Korea defeated Italy after Mauro Nespoli of Italy scored a seven in their final arrow.
